Practice Management

Practice manager duties are currently shared between Drs Busby & Collins- please address any correspondence you may have for the practice manager to them.

Nurses

LORNA MARSHALL

The nurse is responsible for well women and contraceptive advice, asthma/copd clinics, diabetic clinics, CHD clinics, hypertension clinics and travel vaccine clinics. She can also offer advice on weight management, diet and other health related issues including smoking cessation. Please telephone to make an appointment. The nurse will also be available for telephone advice between 12:40 - 13:00.

Healthcare Assistants

PAMELA MCCALL

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Reception

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Health Visitors

HEATHER KALINSKY

Heather offers health advice and support mainly to families with young children under 5. She sees children for development checks and immunisations by appointment arranged directly by the Health Board.
